March 11-15
IOWA week
Testing is complete and they worked very hard. Nice job everyone!
Religion: We looked at the Introductory Rites and the Liturgy of the Word during Mass. We also started our Lectio Divina project with the Nicene Creed. Students listened to the Creed and read it multiple times, listening for what words God let "pop" out at them. Then, they will be combining the words on a Word Art cloud online. They look awesome when completed!
Reading: We took a break from switching this week due to testing schedules.
Math: We peer taught through Chapter 9 - measuring using centimeters. Our Chapter 10 test will be next week and we will do a project to cover the assessment for Chapters 8-9.
Social Studies: We read two of our magazines - Heroes and Why People Work. We discussed needs, wants, goods, services, producers, consumers and budgets. We will be visiting Mr. V's V-Ville in a few weeks! It's a perfect way to learn more about economics after what we have read.
Health: We discussed and learned about balanced diets and healthy lifestyles. We will be hosting our Healthy Picnic next week. Thank you for sending in supplies!
